Measurements
Measurements, done right.
From first look to final fit.
Windows and doors are the shield of your home — soundproofing, insulation, waterproofing, wind resistance, security. Custom joinery wins on fit, function and finish. But skipping proper steps? That’s how you get gaps, leaks and regrets.
A precise, structured measurement process is the backbone of durable, beautiful installations.
1. Initial consultation & site survey
The first step isn’t picking a material — it’s aligning with your home, floor level and lifestyle. High-rise? Wind pressure and safety come first. Facing a busy street? You need acoustic and thermal performance. Low floor? Waterproofing, security and ventilation are key.
Our specialists visit your site to examine wall structure, opening dimensions, exterior cladding — checking for bay windows, beams, load-bearing walls. We then lock in the window type, opening direction and base specs to avoid clashes later.
Why it matters: A quick on-site initial survey prevents expensive rework and ensures your custom design actually fits the building.
2. Precise re-measurement
After plastering and levelling are complete, we must perform a second, precision re-measure. This is the step that eliminates dimensional errors. Our technicians measure opening length, width, height, wall verticality, and plan the proper installation expansion gap.
They also check for obstructions — curtain boxes, suspended ceilings, wardrobe cabinets — anything that could block window opening. Beginners often skip re-measurement and rely only on the first rough dimensions. That leads to windows that won’t fit, oversized gaps, or restricted opening.
📐 Initial survey
- Floor level & wind load assessment
- Noise & thermal requirements
- Waterproofing / security needs
- Wall & opening structure check
- Bay windows, beams, load-bearing walls
🎯 Precision re-measure
- Post-plastering final dimensions
- Verticality & diagonal checks
- Installation expansion gap planning
- Obstruction clearance (curtains, ceilings, cabinets)
- Opening direction & hardware coordination
“We don’t guess. We measure twice — and then we manufacture.”
